I was experimenting with custom formulas in Ultra Fractal, and discovered mini-Mandelbrots embedded in an overall fractal that looks nothing like a Mandelbrot shape. Still in an experimental mood, I wanted to try to get the filaments to stay dark throughout the frame (typically, at least for me, they tend to follow the gradient, so keep switching between black and white with the black/white gradient I use when exploring). I succeeded! But the picture was boring so I added some more layers using different coloring formulas to add some interest. So this is more a personal success for me than a work of fine art. But I like it!

Thanks. I've only been making fractals a bit over a year now. But the more I do, the more I appreciate the great fractals more experienced artists make!
